Method 1 – Using Android Settings

Please note that this method will sign you out of your Google account entirely. You will not be able to use any of the Google services until you sign in to your Google account.

Follow the steps below:

  • Go to Settings menu from your app drawer.
  • Tap on Accounts
  • Tap on Google
  • If you have set up multiple Google accounts on your phone, tap the account you wish to remove
  • Now tap on Remove Account. Please note that the location of this option will depend upon the Android version you are on.

Kindly note that all your data associated with the particular Google account will be lost. This includes your contacts, emails and other data.

Method 2 – Using specific mobile apps

Google Play Store comes with several apps that let you sign out of Google Play Store and other accounts from your phone. You can choose one that that you are comfortable with and sign out of your account. This method can be quite useful if you are not tech savvy enough and do not want to play with your settings.

  • Download and install the app
  • Once the app is installed, launch it
  • Click on Log Out all accounts button
  • You will be logged out of all accounts from your smartphone

We would wish to warn you that this app will log you out of all your accounts on your Android device. Your device will unlinked from all the existing accounts you have setup on your device. Please note that this includes your Twitter, Facebook, Flicker and such other accounts.

The app, however, does not guarantee that it can log you out of all your accounts on certain devices. We would advise you to check the functionality of the app on your device.
